STEPHANIE HOSKO
Growing up in Plymouth, Michigan, just outside of Detroit, my parents played a pivotal role in nurturing my creativity. They consistently encouraged me to explore various crafty hobbies, such as painting, pottery, sewing, horticulture, baking, and more.
Upon leaving home, I chose to attend University of Mississippi pursuing a degree in biology. Despite juggling multiple full-time jobs during my time at school, I remained committed to my hobbies. It was during the summer of my senior year, while working at a local wine bar, that I was struck by the sight of countless beautiful, empty wine and spirit bottles being discarded. Witnessing such waste ignited a desire to save and repurpose these bottles, leading me to discover the art of candle making.
What began as a pleasurable pastime, among many I had embraced before, evolved into something more. I crafted candles as thoughtful gifts for friends and family on birthdays and holidays, and the idea of transforming this passion into a business took root. Thus, Tipsy Wixs was born.
I find immense joy in this endeavor, driven by a dual purpose of creating beautiful, lasting memories from items that might otherwise be discarded, all while contributing to environmental sustainability. My aspiration is to continually expand Tipsy Wixs, offering a diverse range of products and bringing innovative ideas to life.
